Lary Mielke, President

With over 30 years in real estate development Lary Mielke leads the MHi organization and is actively involved in every project. He has been involved in the development of projects with a GLA of approximately 7.5 million square feet.

Lary earned an MBA from USC, and undergraduate degree from Oregon State University, and was a practicing CPA early in his career. In 1968, he joined Kaufman and Broad where he became involved with the development of real estate.

Prior to founding MHi in 1991, he served as president of EGS Metro Corporation and later as a principal of Gemtel Corporation, both commercial development companies. He is currently a managing partner of various real estate entities.

Lary is active in various trade and community organizations including the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers. A native of North Dakota, Lary has lived in the Pasadena California area since 1971 and was a member of the Board of Trustees of Westridge School. He served as President of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce (1993-94), President of Pacific Clinics (early 1980's), and is currently on its board. He is also on the board of Banning Museum and is a member of the Pasadena Rotary Club.

Jean Wood, Vice President

Jean Wood, Vice President, brings a diverse range of experience to MHi's development team and is currently in charge of MHi's Central Oregon operations. A background of legal, business management and investment experience led to her involvement in the real estate industry in 1978. In hands-on roles ranging from licensed agent to project manager, she has worked on both coasts and various product types.

Jean became MHi's Vice President in 1991 and currently oversees development of three projects in Redmond, Oregon - Frank's Landing, a 25-acre retail site, a 60-acre master-planned industrial park known as Airport Business Center and a 10-acre office/flex build-to-suit complex called The Campus Within the Park. Her responsibilities include acquisition, regulatory processing, finance, construction, leasing and sales.

Jean holds memberships in the Urban Land Institute and the American Planning Association. Actively involved in the community, she has served on numerous City of Redmond committees including Comprehensive Plan, Public Facilities Plan, Downtown Urban Renewal, Airport Master Plan, as we well as the State's Industrial Lands Advisory Committee. Board affiliates include Economic Development for Central Oregon, Oregon Innovation Center (vice-Chair) and BendFilm (President).


Donald R. Masters, CMA, Controller

Donald Masters provides financial and accounting services to MHi and its real estate partnerships. His responsibilities include financial statements, tax preparation and planning, budgets, financial projections and overseeing of property management records. He brings to MHi a background in real estate development, including expertise in residential and commercial development acquisitions, financing, property and portfolio management. Don holds a Certified Management Accounting degree and was Chief Financial Officer of the George Elkins Company, a Beverly Hills-based real estate firm active in development, property management, brokerage and mortgage banking. Prior to that, Don was Vice President of Finance for a major division of Kaufman and Broad, an international real estate developer.
